Being Thankful for Community
It’s easy for me to be overwhelmed by the new technological ways to be connected. As we launch Tiara into 2009 we are constantly being asked about Blogging, Twittering, Facebooking, YouTubing, MySpacing, Digging, and being Linked In. The options seem endless. My immediate reactions are to feel … Tired. Worried about getting it right. Annoyed that people keep asking about something that’s “on my list”. And most of all, behind. When I step back and think about the opportunity more broadly, I’m aware that all these applications center on community (I know, duh!) which is one of my core values. When I shift from knee-jerk concerns to expressing a value, it suddenly seems very appealing to be out on the web, connected to our past, present, and future Tiaras.
