Betsy,

You asked, "Why do I do that?" The answer is because you are human and that means you care about what others think and want to blend in instead of appearing different.

As you grow in your personal development you will have many shifts. That area may or may not be one of them. Whatever happens, it will be okay, and the right thing for you. Keep noticing, and being more aware, and the magic will happen! You'll be in the flow before you know it.

Practicing self-care, spending time in nature, helping other people and causes I believe in,being with family and friends and like-minded people, writing, meditating, and doing fun things, are just a few of the ways that I attract the magic and miracles and serendipity into my life.

Hi Betsy, your story reminds me of the time earlier this year when Kiya Cote and I (two Attraction Wizards) were leaving New Mexico after a retreat with Jan and Alan et all Wizards. We had our Magical Wands in hand, the ones we made at the retreat. They were wonderfully magical wands and we held them all the way through security. At one point one of the security guards asked me to touch him with my wand for a little magical treat. It was such fun! The thing is, when you are blatantly magic, then those in to magic are drawn to you... and who knows, they may turn out to be your perfect customer!

Well, first of all what I have to do is STOP and pay attention. I have the tendency to look and think forward wherever I am not noticing the magic that screams at me.

It was a couple of years ago that I noticed this "habit" of mine. I will tell you the story.
In 2001 I and a couple of colleagues created a fabulous "sabbatical week”. I can tell you, it was a beauty. We imagined all the ingredients, the location, the clients……It was pure joy to put this product together. At the end we never marketed it! I don’t remember what exactly happened and as usual I moved on. 2 years later I provided training weeks on a regular basis for a big trainings institute. It must have been the 3rd or 4th training when, during a morning meditation session (they never had done that), suddenly it struck me. There I was, executing exactly the kind of sabbatical week I pictured two years ago. What struck me even more was that it took me so long to even recognize it!!! And the best part: marketing, logistics, beautiful locations, it all was arranged for me. I only had to show up. So when your imagination manifests it is often more magical than your dream itself. BUT, you have to pay attention. When I realized that and started to pay attention I could see that I had already missed a lot of manifested magic in my life: my husband, my kids, my living in Africa and South America, and I could go on and on. Nowadays I no longer miss out on the big things; however I still have to be aware of this habit when it comes to little things. Beautiful yellow and white flowers along the highway. Warm wind on my face and in my hair and the flapping ears of my dog, the smell of summer in freshly cut grass. Magic is everywhere around you…..and if you pay attention you can recognize your own creation in it.

Have a magical week, Andrea
